WHY SERVE WITH KIDS IN THE SON?
All you need to do as a volunteer is be kind and loving! Our kids need to see your smiling face and experience the love of Jesus through you! Little moments can make a massive difference in the life of a child. Serving with our kids is one of the most powerful and impactful ministries here at Church in the Son. Will you answer the call and serve our children and families?
Our Pre-K and Elementary ministries meet every Sunday and Wednesday, while our Pre-Teen service, the Link, meets each Sunday during the 11am service. Many of our volunteers serve twice a month but the frequency is your decision! We make an effort to work with the personal schedule of each volunteer. Buddy Break meets once a month and most buddy break volunteers serve every month!
You do not need to be a childcare expert, you just need to be part of our Church Family! We ask that all of our Dream Team members attend Church in the Son for at least six months prior to serving; submit to a background check, and complete God First (a four session course about our church and what we believe). Once that criteria is met one of our ministry leaders will get you plugged in and serving quickly!
We want each Dream Team member to use their God given gifts to minister to our kids! You may love to teach and preach, sing or dance, have the gift of hospitality, or have a creative mind. Our heart is to help you operate in your gifting any way possible. We have painters, builders, actors, athletes, and so many more wonderfully gifted volunteers on our teams.

WHERE CAN I SERVE?
Pre-K
Serving our kids Newborn through Five years old is a huge challenge yet very rewarding. For years, our committed Pre-K Volunteers have provided young children with a loving environment in which to grow and prepare for a lifetime of commitment to the Lord. Through Worship, Bible Lessons, Memory Verses, Games and Crafts, we engage our Preschoolers at their unique level.
Elementary
Kids In The Son Elementary is a fun and exciting environment we have created for kids ages 5-10. We strive to cultivate a safe place for our kids to learn about the gospel, build relationships and have FUN! We play lots of silly games, worship together and teach the word. If you would like to help us lay down the foundation of faith in our kids lives, then we would love to have you on our dream team!
Pre-Teens
Our Pre-Teen ministry, the Link, meets every Sunday at the 11 am service. We play fun games, have a powerful Bible lesson, and gather in small groups. At such a critical age, we teach them that Jesus tells us who we are. We create a safe place for students to be themselves. That means we are just as goofy as they are, and as excited to pursue the Lord as they should be. If you would like to help students grow in their relationship with God, create safe relationships with friends, and still be silly, then we would be honored to have you as part of our Dream team.
Host Team
As a Host Team Member, with a friendly, warm smile, we make all those entering the front doors feel welcome. Specifically, we assist new guests by helping to fill out a Guest Form, answering questions and escorting them to their specific classrooms. If you love to talk to people, this is the place for you!
Buddy Break
Buddy Break is a once a month respite program where kids with all types of special needs (VIP kids) have FUN while their parents get a BREAK! At Buddy Break, VIP kids and their siblings make new friends, play games, do crafts, hear children’s stories, enjoy music, and more! If you have a heart for children that live with special needs Buddy Break is an amazing place to serve!
