Kids In The Son

Fun with a purpose

Kids in the Son is the vibrant and energetic children's ministry here at Church in the Son. Every week we host exciting services with fun games, creative bible teaching, and a few surprises to help your child grow in their knowledge of God. From birth to 4th grade there is specific classroom and volunteer team trained to help your child grow in their faith.

LEADING THE NEXT GENERATION

Every Sunday all children (Newborn through 4th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. We are passionate about kids learning to trust God, make wise choices, and treat others the way they want to be treated. Our age appropriate services help them discover these core truths.

We would love to see you and your family visit Kids In The Son this Sunday. Join the fun and experience a world where kids meet Jesus on their level!

What We Value

Creative Bible Teaching

The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through themed teaching series and curriculum that uses activities, games, and object lessons to make a lasting impression. We don’t want kids to just hear a Bible story, but experience the story through effective teaching. We want all children to love God’s word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.

Relationships

Relationships are an important part of a child’s development as they learn and grow. We want them to see familiar faces, make friends, and connect to teachers and leaders who love them and are investing in their lives. This is best achieved when parents commit to attend the same service each week, where your child will feel at home and look forward to being with the people they know and love.

Age-Appropriate Care

No matter the age of your child, they will experience activities and lessons geared for their age. Children from two years on up to 4th grade are taught material that they can understand and take home. We encourage parents to review the take home materials, follow along with our social media recaps and have discussions with their children about their time at Kids In The Son.

Standard of Safety

At Kids In The Son the safety of our children is very important to us. Every child’s name tag is matched to a parent-identification number, every volunteer is screened with an interview and federal background check, and every hallway is monitored by security personnel. We are committed to maintaining a standard of safety throughout the entire church.

Fun!

Kids love fun! Fun is the door that opens a child’s mind to not only learn, but retain what they learn. We realize that when children have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back. We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus, including games, activities, music, and live acting.

BUDDY BREAK

VIP Kids

Through the ministry of Buddy Break, we are able to engage children with special needs. Trained volunteers lovingly serve these children and do whatever it takes to help them learn about Jesus on their level. Every child matters to us.

Your First Visit!

Look for the area designated for first-time families. We will meet your family, register your child into our computerized check-in system and one of our team members will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.

HOW DOES CHECK-IN WORK?

Upon your next visit after registering, you may check in your child at any available station by typing your phone number.

After finding your household name in the database, 2 tags will be printed with the following:

  1. Your child’s Name Tag to be worn during service.
  2. Your Parent Tag for you to wear and/or hang on to for pickup.

All of these tags will have matching identification numbers that are exclusive to your family and your visit. After the service, you will return to your child’s room and show your Parent Tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

In the event that we need to contact you during the service a volunteer will text you. We ask that you immediately exit the auditorium and look for either a staff member or team member who will direct you to your child’s room.
